Exhibition Design

The exhibition ‘building for the spirit’ showed inspiration sources for contemporary spiritual architecture in text, images, scale models and drawings. All of these were results of the architecture competition ‘a temple for the city’, 161 proposals were submitted and should all be exhibited. When Studio Laurens van Wieringen was asked to design the exhibition Laurens immediately aimed to make to make the exhibition as transparent and approachable as possible. The exhibition design consists of plinths and viewing houses build from 5mm thick metal rods which  are bend and connected as if it is ‘drawn in space’.
